Red, White, and Blue!

Hello! I was so excited to join JANE'S red, white, and blue blog hop. There have been so many wonderful blocks so far. I can't wait to join them with mine for a great patriotic quilt of my own.
It is pretty hard to compete with the infamous Betsy Ross. Her contribution to our country is quite profound, and what her work of art has come to represent is quite amazing. Courage, bravery, in essence FREEDOM; or what is left of it these days. Our fore fathers started a rebellion over a tea tax.... here we are 200+ years later enduring more tax and government intervention than our fore fathers dreamed of in their worst nightmare.
Our burderns are heavy these days...
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness
have been replaced with
Greed, Entitlement, and Political Correctness.
However.....
I am greatful and hopeful for our country, may GOD squeeze out a spot in our hearts and souls, for the more HE is pushed aside, the less HE will stand with us in our struggles.
Lord have mercy on us all!

And now for my contribution to this hop....
Inspired by the flag these two blocks were born.
One a dresdan plate design and the other a spinning wheel - both appliqued, my specialty.
Don't forget to hop on over to the others!
