I'm DIVING IN!
I am so excited to show you my new pattern. Diving is one of my favorite olympic sports to watch. I admire swimmers very much, probably because water and I do not get along well. I had to do a little study about diving to get it right..... three tries later here it is!
This is a wall hanging, about 16"x 38" in size. It is such a fun project. I love bringing my drawings to life, and this one was no exception.
This diving girl was inspired by pictures of the early 20th century. The 20's-50's are so intriguing to me. I am currently redecorating my living room in a cottage/beach theme. I designed this wall hanging to go in there. I plan to add a beach ball pillow, and maybe some shells, or star fish pillows to my window seat to compliment this wall hanging.
The saying on this wall hanging reads
"Dive in...take a swim. Visit Seaside Resort." I love the northern coast of Oregon. Seaside is one of my favorite places to go. It is such a whimsical town, and reminds me of a carnival for some reason. The last time I was there I had the girls picture taken in old fashioned beach attire, it is fun to see how big they have gotten since the last picture when compared to their new one. It was picture perfect this summer, and I can't wait to go back for spring market next year. I am counting the days!
Until then, I hope you will join me in creating this wonderful wall hanging. The pattern is $8 and is available on my website. (chitterchatterdesigns.com)
To celebrate this pattern release, I will be giving away five patterns, and one complete kit. If you are interested in winning this pattern or kit, leave a comment below that includes who you will be creating a quilt for this coming year. The winners will be drawn next Friday, September 14.

What a cute wall hanging! Drawing people is difficult for me so I admire it all the more. Thanks for the inspiration. I am making a quilt for my fifth grandchild that is due to make his/her debue next spring.
Oh how gawjus it is!!! I would just love to win :o). Would also love to see pics of your redecorated lounge-room, sounds so interesting :o).
Hugs,
Joy :o)
This is just lovely. The quilting lines on the water are so lovely.
Oh Cori this is so cute! You always create beautiful things.
your quilt reminds me so much of a motel sign that has been refurbished here in mesa, arizona, that looks just like your quilt -- from the gal diving off the board, all the way to the bottom with a splash! it is beautiful and so is your quilt -- sweet memories of days gone by. i will be making a quilt for my cousin, jessie, who helped me through some difficult times -- she's very loving and thoughtful of me!
I've been creating quilts all year as I decided it was the year to make all 10 grandchildren a birthday quilt. Yes, they don't always receive them on their actual birthdays but the quilts are in the planning stages, tops pieced, or completed.
This particular pattern and selected fabrics would look great in my oldest granddaughter's newly painted aqua bedroom.
Cutest! Ever! I adore this! Even if I don't win I'm ordering it, I can't stand not to own it, lol! This takes me right back [to before I was born, ahem...]. Too stinkin' cute, you're brilliant!
And I really, really want to see your living room after redecorating, cottage beach is my all-time favorite decorating style!
Who will I be creating a quilt for - my cousin who lives on the beach on Lake Huron, I'll be making a wall quilt for her. I hope she likes it!
