Do you ever have one of those sleepless nights when little characters come to visit you, and you just can't sleep for fear they will be forgotten in the morning? I had one of those nights last week.
Guess who came to visit me? A cute little puppy named Charlie.
He was just as persistent as a real puppy, and would not rest until he was drawn and created. After a few sleepless nights, Charlie is almost finished! He really did come to life on this quilt, and I am sure he will be even more lifelike when he gets quilted up in the next day or two.
Next, I thought I would do a kitty cat quilt, you know with ribbons, yarn, and such. Or, do you think Charlie's sister Penny would make a cute baby girl quilt instead? What do you think?? Do mothers want to decorate with puppies for girls? What is the theme of your new arrivals room this year?

Charlie is mighty cute. A girl dog with ribbons could be cute too, or a cat. You could go either way... or both! LOL
Oh my goodness! This is so cute! I think the decision on whether it is suitable for a boy or a girl is all depending on the person making the quilt and the person receiving it. You can always adjust the colors. The puppy is certainly WAAY WAY cute!! You can always include the words girl as an option.
i love charlie, he is just too dawgone cute! we always had dogs at my house -- but i think most little girls love kitties (i never did, har!) a kitty would be sweet with pink and lavendar bows, yarn, etc. you do it so well, but i'm just saying.
This is just adorable - you are so talented!!!
i definately like the girl doggie idea. charlie is too cute. awesome work
Charlie is sooooooo cute I would love to see his sister with bows. These would be adorable for my GD 1yr 10 mths and brother 10 mths, yep two babies for my daughter in the same year and grandma would love making them each a puppy quilt. GD has lots of ladybugs in her room and has your Little Lady Mom & Baby quilt hanging up above her crib. Thanks for such beautiful patterns. Bobbie
