Stitching away the weekend.

As I blow a kiss to my cute boys and little bug leaving this weekend for a big ice fishing trip, I just have to show you who I will be spending this weekend with! I picked up this little beauty yesterday, and I am just thrilled at how cute it is going to look in it's new home when I am finished.

I love the way it looks in my living room. Don't you think it is quite perfect for that spot? I have a bit of work to do stitching up the edges, and as my boys freeze in the winter cold, pulling cold, stinky fish from a hole, I will be warm at home, under my adorable croquet quilt.

This pattern, along with a cute pillow to match will be coming soon. I am a little obsessed with croquet mallets, so I have another quilt design that I might have to finish up before putting this pattern up for sale.  SO...What do you think of it???

I have another confession to make. This past summer, as you know I was not much of a blogger, or quilter for that matter. I spent my time tearing down walls, and covering holes to create this new space. This is the chair before it's makeover. Yeah, that fabric is crazy busy for my house. I really like the new look to the chair and walls. It is sew rewarding when all of your hard work finally comes together to create that space you always dreamed of in your head ... then as it always goes, life throws you a curve and you have to move just when you get it how you want it. I pray that does not happen, I have a few projects that I have been putting off just so that finished look is just out of reach. Do you think that will keep me here?

The croquet quilt is GREAT! Really love the design. Would be a fun gift to give, along with a croquet set.
